A Return to Wholeness
Johann Diermann
Former Monk, Transformational Coach & Speaker
From a very early stage, I made a commitment to myself that all my decisions and actions would be in the service of finding the deeper purpose of my life in relationship to my environment.
I had the privilege of living in a monastic, celibate setting for 25 years, experiencing the beauty and depth of a community with a highly developed spiritual worldview.
I came to the edge of my perfect world and stepped into the great unknown.
I had my heart broken, only to later realize that it got broken open as a necessary initiation into my deepest humanity.
Now I am ready to serve you and/or your team to also find that alignment with your deepest purpose and contribution.
“The right way to wholeness is made up of fateful detours and wrong turnings.”
“Over the years I was able to discriminate between the voice of fear and doubt, and the voice of my own inner wisdom.”
About Me
I didn’t learn leadership in a classroom; I learned it in robes. Years of monastic practice—waking before dawn, serving a community, sitting with what’s hard—taught me to meet pressure with presence and ego with humility. Over time, I was asked to guide others, to mediate conflict, to translate values into daily choices. Re-entering the business world, I recognized the same
human patterns in new clothes: urgency without clarity, talent without alignment, power without empathy. Coaching became the bridge. Today I help leaders turn inner discipline into outer results—clearer decisions, language that reduces friction, and a way of working that feels like integrity, not performance.
